The Hellegat forest indicates the forest area that covers the summit and the northern and western flanks of the Rodeberg. The name refers to a deep 'ravine' at the bottom of the hillside (the 'hole in hell'; 'hell' means 'hill'). Especially in spring, the forest is a wonderful place to walk because then forest anemones and wild hyacinths provide a carpet of white and blue tones. Several springs spring at the foot of the mountain. Part of the area has also been set up as a play forest.
Accessible from sunrise to sunset.
