Veerle Water Tower
This water tower was built in 1974 on behalf of Pidpa. The main function of a water tower is that of a PRESSURE REGULATOR. A water tower stores a mass volume of water at a given height, so that sufficient water can be supplied at a set pressure in the municipalities. First, the water is pumped up. The height of the tower and gravity create a pressure head, which guarantees a minimum pressure at every point in the pipeline network.
