The construction of Brasserie Harmonie dates from shortly after 1900.
Between 1900 and 1905, the then Cercle Liberal started the construction of the café and the associated hall; the former city party hall, which has already been demolished. The members of the Cercle Liberal did not look at a penny and wanted to show the Ronsenaars that they had and knew 'savoir vivre'. Among the members of the Cercle it was customary to hold an annual Paris weekend. There, of course, they had seen the typical Parisian brasseries. Something like this was also necessary for the Ronse of the turn of the century.
