Witness to the rise of the glass industry at the beginning of the last century and built by architect Emile Claes, the Varia theater has a unique appearance: with its three domes decorated with grimacing masks, pointing towards the sky, its wide façade punctuated by tall pilasters crowned with spheres and the rounded lines of the peaks of its gables, it evokes Viennese Art Nouveau. Decommissioned in 1986, it has been classified since 1992 for its exterior shell.
