The angular structure of the Dörenther Klippen - at 159 metres one of the lower points of the forest - is the result of weathering. Because there were fractures in the rocks, the destructive effect of ice, water, wind was more severe and a whimsical shape was created. One of those cliffs seems to be a seated woman. That rock is therefore called "Hockendes Weib" here.
