The Königsberg Sanatorium was a tuberculosis sanatorium on the Königsberg between Goslar and the Granetalsperre. Today, only ruins remain of the complex.
The sanatorium was the first sanatorium ever to be founded by a German social insurance system. At the time of its founding in 1895 by the Hanover State Insurance Institute, there were otherwise only private sanatoriums and those with charitable cost bearers in Germany. By 1915, numerous buildings and agricultural appendages had been added to the company's own livestock farming.
