The Allendorf train station is located south of the town of Allendorf in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district of North Hesse. It is situated at the junction of the Upper Eder Valley Railway from the Nuttlar–Frankenberg railway line and is a listed building.
Construction of the last section of the Nuttlar–Frankenberg railway line between Bromskirchen and Frankenberg began on January 22, 1906. During the works, up to 600 foreign workers were accommodated in Allendorf. The line was opened on December 1, 1908. On November 17, 1910, the first section of the railway branching off in Allendorf to Bad Berleburg was put into operation, and the entire line was completed by August 15, 1911.
