On August 3, 2000, the foundation stone was laid, and the topping-out ceremony was celebrated on September 13; the opening of the hall took place on January 7, 2001.
The initiator was Marc Girardelli, a four-time ski world champion and five-time overall winner of the Ski World Cup. The hall provides jobs for around 100 employees. The investment volume of the operating company, which operates as GmbH & Co. KG, amounted to 50 million euros.
