The chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows in Reimerzhoven, a district of Altenahr in the Ahrweiler district of northern Rhineland-Palatinate, is a Catholic chapel from the 19th century. It is a protected cultural monument.
The chapel is a simple plastered rubble stone building eight meters long and four meters wide, which was renovated inside and out in 2009/10. The laying of the cornerstone of the chapel took place on May 30, 1859, with a ceremonial procession. The village, with 70 inhabitants at the time, relied on donations for the construction; Count Franz Egon von Fürstenberg-Stammheim donated 34 thalers for the chapel’s construction, with a total building cost of 270 thalers. The ceremonial dedication took place on May 2, 1861.
