In 1910, the old town hall was built as an official citizen's office. The classicist building and the outbuilding - the former Maassen residential building - were used as the town hall until 1993. Today the building is used by Caritas. The remaining rooms are used as a socio-cultural centre. It is still possible to get married on the first floor of the old town hall in a historic ambience.
