Fläming Cycle Path - From Zerbst/Anhalt to Bad Belzig

Short description

The Fläming Cycle Path leads from the middle of Fläming to the Elbe. It connects the R1 long-distance cycle path in Bad Belzig with the Elbe Cycle Path in Walternienburg or Dessau-Roßlau and is the ideal cycle path to discover the beauties of the Vorfläming and Hohen Fläming regions.

Description

Boulders, giant stones, castles, and mills characterize the Fläming landscape. Open theme churches and many Flemish fieldstone churches along the way invite you to visit.

The natural regional cycling route leads through the Fläming/Saxony-Anhalt Nature Park and the Hoher Fläming Nature Park in Brandenburg and can be cycled in two stages. This tour describes the stage from Zerbst/Anhalt to Bad Belzig and is approximately 65 km long.

The Fläming Cycle Path is consistently signposted and aims to invite you to take a detour from the regional cycle paths and get to know the peculiarities of Fläming.

Travel information

Coming from Dessau towards Coswig, turn left towards Meinsdorf at Wasserburg Roßlau

In Bad Belzig, drive towards Burg Eisenhardt (R1)

Parking information

In Roßlau and Dessau, there are free parking spaces opposite the train station. In Bad Belzig, parking is possible near the castle. Parking is usually available at the sights or in the village along the route.

Safety instructions

The Fläming Cycle Path runs almost exclusively on existing roads and rural paths, which are 77% free of significant defects and suitable for cycling with children. 20% of the route presents defects due to the burden of motorized traffic when the cycle path is on the road.
