El Escobonal is a town in the Agache region belonging to the municipality of Güímar on the island of Tenerife, reaching a maximum altitude of 478 meters above sea level and located 9 kilometers from the urban center of Güímar.
El Escobonal was traditionally an entity of certain importance in the south of Tenerife, despite not being a municipal center. In 1950, it was the third most important locality in terms of the number of inhabitants, after Güímar and Arafo, across the entire southern slope of the island.
