The Casa Petra de la Riva is a city palace that was the residence of Diego López de Morla y Virués , Count of Villacreces, who would later found the Caja de Ahorros de Jerez in 1834.
The neoclassical facade is flanked by two pairs of Ionic columns supporting an artistic main balcony. Two statues representing two soldiers is the main ornamental motif.
Behind the doorway and wrought iron gate there is access to a shady and cool patio, full of vines and, like many palaces in Jerez, it has only columns to the right.
Although the construction dates from an earlier era, the facade is a contribution from the early 20th century.
