The town hall has been located on Place Stanislas since the 18th century. Its large facade, which is decorated with the arms of Stanislas and the coat of arms of the City of Nancy, closes off the former royal square.
The doors open onto a peristyle that leads to the Great Staircase adorned with a wrought-iron banister in one piece, a true masterpiece by Jean Lamour
The staircase, whose walls are decorated with Girardet's frescoes, leads to the Salon Carré, an Italian-style lounge, which precedes the Grand Salon.
