The typical village of Puymirol dominates the hilly countryside on its rocky spur. The hiking trail offers to cross these landscapes which alternate between undergrowth, cultivated plains and dry hillsides
You will observe the typical avifauna of this agricultural environment: the soulcie sparrow, the zizi sparrow, the woodlark, the turtle-dove.
The slopes of Saint Urcisse to the south-east of Puymirol also offer an interesting biotope and are home to the European nightjar, which can be seen at dusk on spring nights.
