Built in 1904 on the site of a country house, this castle, which belonged among others to the painter Fleury Richard, was designed by the architects Vernon and Sainte-Marie-Perrin. It is a massive construction with arcades, turrets, and steep roofs. It contains a very beautiful music room with a gallery and organ.
This is the last grand castle built in Ecully from 1904 to 1910.
Pontourné also accommodates the Beaucerons, also known as "Shepherds of Beauce" because one can find a breeding of these magnificent dogs for animal lovers.
