Making your way down the long seafront avenue, you travel from the Petit-Travers, which is part of the city of Carnon to the Grand-Travers, which is part of La Grande-Motte. These spots are exactly the same and the wind direction is the same: south-east to south-west, and there are sometimes some fantastic waves when there is enough of a depression. The wind blows on side-on shore, which makes the spot safe for beginners, while the beach is big enough for you to get your equipment ready, take off and land.
Average annual probability of winds under 12 knots: 33%
Average air temperature: 17°C
Recommended level: intermediate or beginner.
