It is one of the oldest churches in France. The choir, dating from the 6th and 7th centuries, is built on the remains of a Roman sanctuary and a Christian mausoleum. Two sections of wall (4th and 5th centuries) and a Christian stele are visible in the choir.
The nave was built entirely in the Romanesque period between the 10th and 12th centuries. Original capitals decorate it: dragons and griffins, and a unique composition associates marriage, the siren of temptation and the Eucharist. The restoration of the church between 2010 and 2013 allowed the discovery of a fresco of the 14th-15th centuries.
Classified as a Historic Monument in 1913 (Church).
Presence of a heritage desk in front of the church (F and GB).
