DOMAINE LA LINQUIERE

It is the flax, grown here long before the vine, that inspired the name of the estate. In an "old-fashioned" vineyard, with parcels of land split up in the Saint-Chinian terroir, Pierre Salvestre produces a wide range of wines: AOC Saint-Chinian, Vins de Pays Monts de la Grage, AOC Saint Jean de Minervois.
La Linquière has, among other things, 20 hectares under vine.
To the north, the vines are surrounded by groves of holm oaks and strawberry trees. Further south, on the rocky ridge, sheltered by dry stone walls, they resist the tramontane and the scorching Mediterranean summer sun. On the banks of the Vernazobre, it is the alluvium and the coolness of the river (on summer nights) that give them their full vigour.
