Paolo Fornaciari has had a long career as a servant of great cyclists like Pantani, Cipollini, Museeuw, and Cunego. He was a member of Mercatone Uno, Saeco, Mapei, and Lampre. In 2009, he began a new career: the establishment of a new ice cream parlor or gelateria. The name 'Last Kilometer' slightly refers to the red triangle or flag that traditionally hangs over the road in all cycling races. Paolo only works with fresh ingredients, which is very labor-intensive but has also brought him some fame: in 2010 he became the Tuscan Champion with the flavor or gusto: "Cantucci e VinSanto" named after the hard biscuits that you dip in the dessert wine. He also finished 5th in the Italian Championship of Gelatieri!!
His Giallo Nocentini is also delicious and refers to Rinaldo Nocentini, his friend who wore the yellow jersey in the Tour de France for a while in 2009.
