Currently under construction, it hosts a major bus station as well as the Émile-Hamilius center, a set of office buildings from the 1970s; demolished in 2015 to make way, just like the square itself, for the "Royal-Hamilius" project. On September 27, 2018, the new Royal Hamilius parking garage opens its doors in the heart of the capital. It offers 628 additional parking spaces that will help alleviate parking problems in the city center.
