Monsignor Nolenspark

The Monseigneur Nolenspark, colloquially often just called Nolenspark, is a park on the north side of the city center of the Dutch town of Venlo.
After the demolition of the fortifications, a completely new district was developed on this side of the city between 1867 and 1872, according to the plans of urban planner Frits van Gendt. Part of the plans included a square and a park. The square was initially named Ginkelplein, while the park was still called Moerdijkpark at that time. Until the end of the nineteenth century, a kiosk stood in the middle of the park, where music groups performed open-air concerts. Later, it was renamed Klein Park in the twentieth century.
