The town hall of Naarden

Source: Kleurlitho, situatie 17e eeuw

Description

The oldest public building in the Gooi is the town hall of Naarden. After the destruction of the city in 1572, construction of the town hall began in 1601. The interior of the building has been largely preserved, including the hall, the Schepenkamer, and the mayor's room. In the attic, there is now the citizen's hall with furniture from the former Gemeenlandshuis of the Erfgooiers.
