In 1381, Vaeshartelt is mentioned for the first time, but there was already a castle on this site in 870. The farm is the oldest part of the estate. Later, the castle was built. In 2011/2012, the Gardens of Vaeshartelt will be created. This will take place in the 'Bloemenheuf' of the Vaeshartelt estate. Traditionally, this 6-hectare area has been part of the estate. They will become Test Gardens: beautiful for walking but also rich in scent and taste experiences.
