For the next place, turn around and turn right onto the Brink. On the sidewalk opposite the zebra crossing (in the summer in front of the poffertjes stall) lies a flat stone with a text by Gerrit Achterberg. This sentence from the Kermesse d'été is written by Achterberg as a memory of his visit to the fair in Laren, which used to be held on the Brink. Nikki van Es provided the idea, Karin Wielenga created the design, and Sacha de Leeuw carved the letters. The stone is a gift from Chris de Haan upon his departure as the operator of the poffertjes stall on May 22, 1991.
