The closer visitors get to the Bisschopsmolen in the heart of Maastricht, the better they can hear the splashing of the watermill, and the more the water flows through their mouths because of the smell of freshly baked bread.
The Bisschopsmolen dates back to the 11th century and was restored in 2004. The watermill is powered by the water of the Jeker.
Curious visitors can tour the mill, watch the bakers at work, and enjoy one of the delicious dishes in the Gelagkamer.
Prefer to get your hands dirty? Book one of the workshops! Visitors can also enjoy a unique overnight stay: a B&B above the bakery!
