Eckart was a small lordship that was incorporated into the municipality of Nederwetten in 1810, became part of Woensel in 1821, and has been part of the municipality of Eindhoven since 1920, in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is now a neighborhood located in the Dommelbeemd district.
Originally, Eckart was an island bordered by the Dommel and a former bed of this river, known as the Dode Gracht, formerly called Den Doyen Graeff. The following toponyms can be found on this island:
