Dairy farm De Heerenhoeve

On the Korte Heerenstraat just outside Oostburg you can enjoy fresh milk from the tap, old-fashioned delicious custard, and yogurt, as well as about 30 different flavors of ice cream at De Heerenhoeve. Additionally, you are warmly welcomed at the dairy farm of the Vesseur family to learn more about life on a real farm.  

De Heerenhoeve is a true family business, with the entire family involved in the operations. Each family member has their own specialization. Designing labels, creating recipes, the production process, as well as delivery, sales, and promotion: the entire process is managed by the Vesseur family themselves. For instance, father John is responsible for the cows, son Lars for the ice cream, son Cas for the dairy, and mother Mariëlle for sales. Daughters Maud and Esmée take care of social media, the website, and all online activities. And where needed, family members help each other out. The lines of communication are short, and by selling at the farm and supplying products to regional stores and hospitality businesses, the delights of De Heerenhoeve are also deliciously local.
