The De Welvaart mill was built in 1864 on the orders of Joseph Aerts. It is a slender, upright corn mill.
After changing hands several times, mill servant Leo Linssen became the owner of the mill in 1929.
He implemented a large number of improvements. Linssen purchased an electrically powered grinding stone to accommodate calm wind periods.
