Al otro lado del Lerebeek se encuentran 'De Petitsen', una escritura errónea de 'Les Petites', pequeñas parcelas. Es aquí, en el caserío de Eggertingen, donde Limburgs Landschap adquirió sus primeras parcelas en 2004. El área natural se expandió aún más, pero aún no tenía un nombre específico que lo cubriera por completo. Y ese nombre no se encontró... ¡por eso quedó en Eggertingen!
Aquí también crece el pequeño cardo. Esta planta bastante rara indica que hay cal en el suelo. A través de varios años de gestión de la siega en franjas, la planta se ha dispersado y ahora se encuentra incluso en lugares más húmedos en el valle.
