En Gerhagen-Tessenderlo se encuentra una torre panorámica en 'la duna de arena', una antigua colina de arena. Esta fue llamada 'la torre de la VVV de la duna de arena'. Ofrecía una vista panorámica del mar de verde en Gerhagen y rompe el prejuicio de que Tessenderlo es solo 'gris de la industria'. En 1999 fue demolida debido a la pudrición del hormigón. La VVV-Tessenderlo financió esta segunda torre y luego cedió la construcción de forma gratuita al gobierno municipal de Tessenderlo, que ahora es el propietario.
