El Observatorio cantonal de Neuchâtel es un observatorio astronómico, que fue fundado por el cantón de Neuchâtel en Suiza en el año 1858. El edificio inaugurado en 1860 fue construido por Hans Rychner en formas de inspiración clásica, prestando atención en ese momento a colocar los instrumentos directamente sobre la roca, sin conexión con el edificio.
El primer director del observatorio fue Adolphe Hirsch, quien dirigió el instituto hasta su muerte en 1901, y en honor a quien se nombró la ampliación inaugurada en 1912.
