Het kantonale observatorium van Neuchâtel is een astronomisch observatorium, dat in 1858 werd opgericht door het kanton Neuchâtel in Zwitserland. Het in 1860 geopende gebouw is ontworpen door Hans Rychner in klassiek geïnspireerde vormen, waarbij destijds werd gelet op het direct plaatsen van de instrumenten op de rots, zonder verbinding met het gebouw.
De eerste directeur van het observatorium was Adolphe Hirsch, die het instituut tot zijn dood in 1901 leidde, en naar wie de in 1912 ingezegende uitbreiding werd vernoemd.
