El humedal de La Moutière está protegido por el Conservatoire des espaces naturels y está situado a unos 385 m de altitud, en una cuenca, el pantano concentra las lluvias procedentes del macizo de Fossard a través del arroyo Seux. Es un legado de las últimas glaciaciones, formado por varios metros de aluvión depositados tras la retirada de los glaciares. El suelo, que tiende a ser de turba, cubre ahora todo el terreno. Situado en el corazón del pueblo, alberga sin embargo notables hábitats naturales, en particular las facies turbosas y el Sanguisorbe officinale (planta herbácea) que sirve de hábitat a la Azuré des paluds (mariposa).
