El Parque de Luxemburgo era el antiguo parque de recreo de los condes de Ligny-en-Barrois. Ya en el siglo XIV, el parque ofrecía tranquilidad al joven Pierre de Luxembourg. Su forma de "L" ha permanecido inalterada desde el principio. Con una superficie de 8 hectáreas, está bordeado por las aguas del río Ornain.
Aún pueden verse restos de las antiguas murallas del castillo; los escombros atestiguan su antigüedad.
Adquirido por la ciudad de Ligny-en-Barrois en 1794, fue declarado Monumento Histórico en 1932.
