La torre románica hexagonal de la antigua iglesia de Usselskirch ha sobrevivido a 1000 años de historia y sigue siendo un enigma arqueológico. Su forma, su altura y su arquería ciega son inusuales. La gran iglesia del siglo XVIII, clasificada como monumento histórico en 1930, no sobrevivió a los bombardeos de la vecina Línea Maginot durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Pero los muros de 1,40 metros de grosor de la antigua torre sí. A los pies de la torre se pueden ver ocho estaciones (de las catorce originales) del Vía Crucis del siglo XVII
Inusual: En un lado de la torre, una cabeza de estatua romana o precristiana.
