La iglesia está curiosamente aislada del pueblo, y cerca de la ciudad de Saint-Pierre-Bois. En la esquina derecha, en el lado este, una piedra del encadenamiento del muro lleva la fecha de 1719. En ese año se amplió la antigua capilla. En 1784 se construyó la actual iglesia en el mismo lugar. El interior del santuario recuerda que se encuentra bajo la protección de Santiago el Mayor, que fue decapitado en el año 44 por Herodes Agripa.
