En esta altura natural del paisaje, P. van Loon construyó en 1792 el caza de madera Hilverroode. Este edificio dio paso a uno de piedra, llamado Hilveroord. En el terreno se construyeron varios edificios auxiliares como granjas, una vivienda para el jardinero y una biblioteca. La última gran casa fue demolida en 1986. El área está ahora cerrada.
