Su questa altura naturale del paesaggio, P. van Loon costruì nel 1792 il casale di caccia in legno Hilverroode. Questo edificio fu sostituito da un edificio in pietra, chiamato Hilveroord. Sul terreno furono costruiti diversi annessi come fattorie, una casa del giardiniere e una biblioteca. L'ultima grande casa fu demolita nel 1986. L'area è ora recintata.
