Ce belvédère rocheux surplombe le confluent de l'Our et de la Lesse .
La légende raconte qu'autrefois, depuis cet endroit, de vieux chevaux qui n'étaient plus utiles étaient jetés dans les profondeurs, mais en réalité ce sont les carcasses de chevaux morts - et non d'animaux vivants - qui étaient jetées de ce rocher et laissées comme proies pour le rapace des animaux sauvages.
