L'Université d'Oñate, officiellement Université de l'Esprit Saint, était une université espagnole fondée en 1540 par bulle de Paul III. L'université comptait des facultés de Droit, de Canons, d'Arts, de Médecine et de Théologie, jusqu'à sa fermeture en 1842.
L'université a connu de nombreux hauts et bas en raison de problèmes économiques et de la tension entre carlistes et libéraux. Elle a été rouverte pendant la Troisième Guerre Carliste sous le nom de Réelle et Pontificale Université Vasco-Navarra et de nouveau entre 1895 et 1901, lorsque elle a été définitivement fermée en raison d'un manque de moyens économiques.
