Passionné depuis son enfance dans le milieu agricole, Jean-Pierre reprit la ferme familiale et se créa un cheptel de Race Aubrac. Grâce à cette race de vaches reconnue en Aubrac d'où son appellation, il remporta de nombreux prix dans des concours avec l'aide de son fils Jean-Baptiste.
Jean-Pierre par son côté très chaleureux, convivial et aimant le contact avec les gens, a décidé de transformer son corps de ferme en un restaurant où la cuisine est traditionnelle pour partager de bons moments.
