Gennep, décharge le long de la Meuse - Les bâtisseurs de ponts
Il va sans dire que les ponts sont stratégiquement importants en temps de guerre. Mais que se passe-t-il lorsqu'il n'y a plus de ponts ? En février et mars 1945, les Royal Engineers britanniques ont construit un pont Bailey d'un peu plus d'un kilomètre de long entre Oeffelt et Gennep. Une prouesse technique que Churchill et Montgomery sont venus inspecter eux-mêmes.
