Dans le cadre de la construction de la HSL-Zuid et de la connexion de Breda à celle-ci, la station de Breda a été modifiée. Une moderne terminal de transport public a été réalisée, conçue par Koen van Velsen. En plus des 3 quais insulaires pour les trains, il y a un quai insulaire pour les bus, accessible par le tunnel central (Gravinnen van Nassau Boulevard). Dans la salle des billets du côté de Belcrum, il y a divers magasins et établissements de restauration.
