La chapelle de São Miguel-o-Anjoc est peu connue des habitants de Braga et a été construite à l'origine entre Carvalheiras et Campo das Hortas, mais a été démantelée dans le dernier quart du XIXe siècle et déplacée à son emplacement actuel , avec les retables d'André Soares.
Cette chapelle était traditionnellement le lieu où les archevêques s'habillaient pour leur entrée solennelle dans la cathédrale de Braga.
