Probabilmente originariamente era la casa dei frati del capitolo nobiliare. Qui venivano ospitati i religiosi che venivano a predicare nella chiesa del capitolo o a sentire le confessioni. Dopo la Rivoluzione francese, l'edificio passò in possesso della famiglia de Matthys che ne fece una casa padronale in stile neoclassico. Nel 1950 era addirittura un hotel-ristorante. Sia il castello che il parco sono protetti come paesaggio.
