Questo castello d'acqua si trova in un ampio parco di Beveren.
La parte più antica del castello risale almeno all'inizio del XV secolo, quando la famiglia Vijd di Ghent abitava il castello. Il castello è stato abitato e ristrutturato successivamente da quattro diverse famiglie nobili. Nel 1966 il comune ha acquistato il castello con parco e annessi. Nella facciata sopra la porta d'ingresso è presente la statua di San Martino come soldato romano che condivide il suo mantello. In questo modo il castello è posto sotto la sua protezione. Nella cappella del castello un curioso medaglione sul soffitto rappresenta Martino come giovane con spada e baffi.
