Il castello di Frens è un castello rinascimentale nel quartiere Ichendorf della città di Bergheim, nel distretto di Rhein-Erft-Kreis, nella Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia.
Come sede di una famiglia di Frens, il "Castrum Vrenze" è già menzionato nel 1263. All'inizio del XIV secolo, questa famiglia deve essere estinta, poiché il castello passò in possesso dei conti di Virneburg. Nel 1347, Ruprecht von Virneburg vendette la casa al suo figliastro, il cavaliere Rutger von Raitz, la cui famiglia, dopo l'acquisizione del castello, si chiamò Raitz von Frentz. Il castello rimase in possesso di questa famiglia per quasi 400 anni.
