In Square Place Churchill, un edificio ti trae in inganno sulla sua funzione. Il frontone recita "Palazzo di Giustizia" , ma la targa smaltata sul sentiero storico della città ti racconta la storia dell'edificio: un monastero dei Cappuccini .

I monaci cappuccini provenienti dall'Irlanda si stabilirono a Charleville nel 1620. Il 12 gennaio 1625, l'arcivescovo di Reims benedisse e consacrò l'edificio della chiesa. Il monastero originale fu probabilmente demolito nel XVIII secolo e sostituito da un secondo monastero, la cui costruzione iniziò nel 1782. Durante la Rivoluzione, il monastero divenne una prigione . Questa è ancora la funzione del monastero oggi.
