En Square Place Churchill, un edificio te engaña sobre su función. En el frontón se lee "Palacio de Justicia" , pero la placa esmaltada en el sendero patrimonial de la ciudad te cuenta la historia del edificio: un monasterio capuchino .
En 1620, los monjes capuchinos de Irlanda se instalaron en Charleville. El 12 de enero de 1625, el arzobispo de Reims bendijo y consagró el edificio de la iglesia. El monasterio original fue probablemente demolido en el siglo XVIII y reemplazado por un segundo monasterio, cuya construcción comenzó en 1782. Durante la Revolución, el monasterio se convirtió en prisión . Esta función sigue siendo la del monasterio en la actualidad.
